Unique Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II Launched on the Scenic French Riviera for Global Media

The new Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II has been unveiled to journalists from the world’s premier luxury media in a spectacular event on the gorgeous French Riviera on 6th June 2022.

Phantom Rendezvous, the Global Press Drive for the new Phantom, is now underway at the Maybourne Riviera Hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, located on the Mediterranean coast and overlooks Monaco. Guests get the option to drive and be driven in, the newest manifestation of the marque’s apex product formally launched in mid-May.

On the grounds of the Maybourne Riviera hotel, Rolls-Royce showcased two Bespoke Phantoms. Named after the silver-white gloss of the sought precious metal, platinum, Phantom Platino echoes the marque’s early days with front seats upholstered in superb Rolls-Royce leather, and those in the back draped in luxury fabric.

The Great British Phantom is finished in vivid Magma Red and contains a Bespoke artwork in the Gallery, inspired by the Union Flag.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II provides only light-touch visual and stylistic upgrades. A modest geometric adjustment to the Pantheon Grille makes the ‘RR’ Badge of Honour and Spirit of Ecstasy figure more noticeable when viewed from the front. The grille itself is now lighted, while the headlights are embellished with delicate laser-cut bezel starlights – bringing more surprise and excitement to Phantom’s night-time appearance.

The French Riviera has been connected with Rolls-Royce since the early half of the 20th Century when the Côte d’Azur established itself as the favourite place of actors, painters, musicians and other affluent luminaries of the Belle Epoque. Near 1912, Sir Henry Royce constructed a mansion, La Mimosa, in the town of Le Canadel, where he later spent every winter before his demise in 1933.
