Uno GMT ARCTIC FOX by Unimatic, Revolution, and The Rake is a Smash

On 28 December 2022, 10pm SGT / 3pm CET / 9am EST), Revolution & The Rake magazines and Italian watchmaker Unimatic released the first in a series of limited edition collaborations: the Modello Uno GMT "Arctic Fox."

The all-white themed Uno GMT "Arctic Fox" draws inspiration from nature (snow camouflage is a survival strategy innate to animals such as the Arctic owl, the Arctic fox, and the polar bear), the strictness of military uniforms, and the concept of men's fashion as an expression of positivity (in 2021, the colour white represented positivity in the fashion industry, with Brunello Cucinelli using a palette of whites and creams to "replace The watch has a screw-down crown, drilled lugs, and a bezel that is simple to hold and move.

Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that is put to high-end weapons to increase their wear and corrosion resistance, as well as their surface hardness. Due of its exceptional tolerance to high temperatures, it is also utilised for high-performance automobile and motorcycle components, such as exhausts and turbochargers.

The bezel of the "Arctic Fox" Modello Uno GMT has a white Cerakote coating and a 24-hour bezel insert. The dial is likewise white, but it utilises Super-LumiNova and tiny black borders for the hour markers to make it easier to read.

The last two straps are held with a white stonewashed Cerakote pin buckle.

The Unimatic Revolution & The Rake U1 GMT "Arctic Fox" is limited to 150 pieces and retails for €1,500.Made in Italy, the Modello Uno ref. U1S-GMT-RR is a compact GMT diving watch. It has a natural aluminium 24h bezel insert and a matte white dial with Super-LumiNova® C1 white hour markings.

The time is shown by a pair of phantom ladder hands and a reverse lollipop second hand with a matte black tip serving as the 24h hand. The anti-reflective double-domed sapphire crystal gives the greatest performance in all lighting conditions.

The CerakoteTM white stonewashed coated 316 stainless steel case, the screw down caseback, the 8 mm diameter crown, and the high quality gaskets give water resistance individually tested to 30 atm=300m=1000ft. The Swiss-made automatic calibre ETA 2893-2 movement with a 28,800bph frequency and a 42-hour power reserve ensures precise timing.

It comes with a grey camouflage jacquard nylon two-piece x-stitched strap, a white stonewashed CerakoteTM clasp autographed by Unimatic, and an additional two-piece white TPU strap. The caseback contains the progressing individual number. The watch comes with a global guarantee of 24 months and is limited to just 150 pieces.
