Vacheron Constantin Reopens Its Flagship Store at The Dubai Mall

The original Vacheron Constantin shop at The Dubai Mall has reopened. Located on the first floor, its entryway has the Mashrabiya pattern common to Middle Eastern architecture as a nod to the Maison's Middle Eastern heritage.

The watchmaking bench invites customers to speak with a professional watchmaker on the premises, and the custom strap station allows them to have their straps personalised or embossed. Below a striking dome is a table for exploring the Métiers d'Art collection. The Maltese cross pattern on a wall of blue straw marquetry draws attention and reflects Vacheron Constantin's commitment to artistic excellence in watchmaking.

In addition to its physical archives, the Dubai Mall Flagship also provides a digital archive (called the "Chronogram") that provides an interactive journey of the Maison's history. The Chronogram is a huge screen created in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) that allows users to live-explore the history of Vacheron Constantin via a digitalization of the outstanding body of archives amassed by the Maison since 1755. Customers and visitors may learn manufacturing trade secrets in this way.

Including the recently released Traditionnelle perpetual calendar ultra-thin watch that caters to women's desire for mechanical complication timepieces, as well as boutique exclusive models, the first permanent Les Collectionneurs vintage watch offering in the Middle East, the first permanent Heritage exhibition, and the periodic showcase of an exclusive Les Cabinotiers collection, the new Flagship stores all of Vacheron Constantin's timepiece collections, from simple to high complications.

When it opens, the Dubai Flagship will be one of just a handful of stores in the world to have a permanent display of classic watches from Les Collectionneurs. Curated from the archives of Vacheron Constantin, these timepieces date back to the 20th century and come with the same guarantee as the brand's current offerings.

Using the Les Cabinotiers concept for its limited-edition timepieces, Vacheron Constantin demonstrates the depth and breadth of its artistic and technological expertise. The watchmakers of Vacheron Constantin's Les Cabinotiers division produce both custom orders and timepieces from the brand's in-house design team.

The new Flagship is the first location in the Middle East to permanently display a collection of heritage timepieces from the Vacheron Constantin Private Collection, including a yellow gold pocket watch from 1834 (Ref. Inv. 10678) with an enamelled champlevé case and intaglio engraving and a skeleton Men's square watch from 1989 (Ref. Inv. 10339) with arabesque decoration on the gold case circle.
