With The Genesis Collection NFT, British Automobile Company McLaren Makes a Grand Entrance Into The Metaverse

The Genesis Collection NFT Marks McLaren's Grand Entrance into the Metaverse.

McLaren Automotive recently unveiled the Genesis Collection, a collection of NFTs of the famous Ultimate Series P1TM and track P1TM GTR, the world's first hybrid hypercar, incorporating exclusive MSO LAB treatments. 2,012 P1TM & P1TM GTR NFTs will be randomly created in reference to 2012, the year it was introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show.

Only 1,998 NFTs will be available for purchase through McLaren's marketplace, nft.mclaren.com, funded by its metaverse partner InfinteWorld. This excludes the P1TM skins provided to 14 MSO LAB members, who include luminaries from the arts, fashion, and cryptocurrency. It will be a completely random mint, and each NFT will cost 0.5 ETH.

Members of an MSO LAB digital community will be granted membership to Genesis Collection NFT holders.

The compilation will be released on May 11 at 14:00 BST. On May 13, at 14:00 BST, 48 hours later, the remaining NFTs in the collection will be accessible to a small set of invited NFT communities. Each purchaser will get their NFT in the form of a 1:1 render of the front three-quarters view of their P1TM or P1TM GTR, along with a 1:1 animation showcasing the unique treatment and treatment credentials (non-transferrable on resale). They will each get a 9:16 render of their P1TM or P1TM GTR's back view (non-transferrable on resale).

The Genesis Collection drop will consist of five levels with eight distinct characteristics, namely:

LAB Studio: P1TM; Treatment: paint and pinstripe of level one. restricted to only 1,000

LAB Studio Plus: P1TM Level two paint, with more intricate pinstriping and fades. restricted to 893

LAB Works: P1TM GTR, MSO LAB livery in various colour combinations. restricted to 100

LAB Honorary of P1TM or P1TM GTR is not for sale and will be awarded to chosen McLaren community members.
