Amanda Wakeley is a British based brand which was found by a British woman, Amanda Wakeley. The brand is widely known for its clean-glam aesthetics and chic style dresses, accessories, handbags and wedding dresses. The company was launched in 1990 by the owner and currently has its headquarters in London. Amanda is a self-taught designer and worked for Go Silk before launching her own signature label. Due Wakeley's hard work and perseverance, she received her first British Fashion award for glamor just two years after the launch of her signature label and since then is a winner in the fashion line with her revolutionary contribution to fashion. She won this award a couple of times for her outstanding designs. The brand draws inspiration from 1950's style of sophistication and majorly from Dorian Leigh, who was the first female model to receive public attention. Amanda says that her brand is ‘fundamentally an extension of herself'. She has also been awarded by Prince of Wales an OBE for her remarkable contribution to fashion in February 2010.
