Meet Harry Brantly, co-founder of the uber-chic resort wear brand Frescobol Carioca. Born in Brazil and based in London - Harry has set out to bring the Carioca-lifestyle around the globe. This winning mentality has been adopted by many players, and nowhere more so than Rio de Janeiro. during this sun-soaked tropical city, the Cariocas - a reputation given to the denizens of the Brazilian metropolis - play on the beach, where they inspired the founders of a way of life brand almost a full decade ago.

After being inspired by the curves of the Brazilian landscape, mosaic patterning, and artwork of architect Roberto Burle Marx, and therefore the samba of Tom Jobim, the brand began to require shape, and carve out a visible identity. The aim was to permit customers to 'live sort of a Carioca', wherever they'll be - through the employment of bold colors, flowing cuts, and easy styling. 

The apparel range is predicated on the wardrobe of the typically elegant Carioca: luxury men's shirting, light cotton and jersey polos, linen trousers and chinos, comfortable activewear, and versatile scarves. With an unbelievable concentrate on environmentalism, Frescobol Carioca has ensured that each skateboard, surfboard, and frescobol bat created is built using pieces of hand-collected driftwood and native hardwood offcuts, recycled from Rio's booming carpentry trade.

Everything is formed in limited runs to stay styling fresh and eco-credentials up, and also the artisans called marceneiros finish the wooden crafts with a high-shine bespoke resin developed specifically to prevent seawater and sand damaging the products.

The brand's swimwear, which blends the sophistication of Rio's modernist architecture with impeccable Carioca craftsmanship, could also be the cornerstone of Frescobol Carioca, but it's removed from their only offering.

Other apparel includes crisp and fresh daywear, with whom collaborations are made with everyone from Louis Vuitton to Eden Rock Hotel, and accessories include Panama hats, sunglasses, beach bags, and even the brand's iconic buckle-free belts.

But nothing will beat the large three - the tentpoles of the range that Frescobol Carioca sell more of year on year than the rest. These are the beach bat, the Copacabana swim shorts, and linen towel.
