TKEES was founded by a duo of husband and wife, Jesse and Carly Burnett, who were basically in search of elegant leather flip flop. TKEES is now approaching its 10th anniversary; it has also established a global presence through e-commerce and top retailers which includes the big brand names such as Net-A-Porter, Kith, Ron Herman, United Arrows, Revolve, Bloomingdale's, Shopbop, and more. This idea was Carly's and then Bubbling with excitement, Carly shared her idea of initiating a sandal company unlike any other with Jesse and jessy also supported her. Producing a flip-flop so minimal the difference between them on and off was almost invisible. Jesse, fuelled by his love for Carly, believed in her, supported her in her initialization of business and her idea. Under a tiki hut, this couple began exchanging ideas of what could be and how could it be done, and from there, the name TKEES was born. The idea was surely from Carly's mind but without Jesse's support this name wouldn't have been so big and popular. The popularity of the brand is now global and this company is delivering flip flops across the world. Company has a huge fan base and tested customers. 

The TKEES story started with a lot of love, genuine support and a little inspiration. Before the creation of TKEES, Carly was on the hunt for a simple yet elegant sandal along with her husband Jesse. Surprisingly, when she was on an island renowned for its curated style, she returned to the beach empty handed. As the sand lingered on her skin, an idea was sparked in her mind and TKEES was initiated.  Jesse and Carly needed manufacturers who are creative  and dedicated to  their work. TKEES has value for the quality and detail in their work. TKEES pulls inspiration from various sources and from a wide spectrum, stretching from their children's scribbles to high fashion trends, the essence of TKEES is never lost and it provides the trending products to the market being one of the top fashion brands in the fashion industry, currently.

Carly is not a woman who believes in over-accessorized or over-styled attire. She believes that the most effective and attractive design is the one that is the most simple and has classic look.
