Yu Capital is known as the investment-funding arm mainly for the financing of fashion, lifestyle and the technology companies that are capable of major growth in the fashion industry and show high potential for growth in a global market, particularly China. The company's most recent investments include investment in Samantha Cameron's women swear which is labeled as Cefinn and British fashion brands Mary Katrantzou, Tujia who is basically Airbnb's Chinese rival and Didi Kuaidi who is the largest taxi-hailing firm in China. Yu Fashion works to provide tailored strategies and distribution to international brands into China. Yu Culture exists and works to enrich China's cultural landscape via the development of initiatives within the realms of film, fashion, art as well as the media. Together these elements act as a dynamic ecosystem contributing to the fashion industry by bridging industries and continents, in the provision of a gateway to China. Yu Holdings was founded in the year 2017 by investor, philanthropist and also known as patron of the arts, Wendy Yu. It was introduced as a multi-faceted organization which was created to bring together and align investment as well as creations and innovation with cultural and creative exchange focusing on strengthening the ties between China and the rest of the world via various ways of business, technology, fashion and the arts.
Yu Holding is founded by Chinese entrepreneur, Wendy Yu, and is headquartered in the region of Shanghai; Yu Holdings's activities are conducted through dedicated entities named as Yu Fashion, Yu Capital and Yu Culture. Wendy Yu is a Chinese heiress as well as an investor and a philanthropist who is the one of the key people and founder of Yu Holdings and the first Asian contributor to Vogue. She was born in the Zhejiang province of China, situated in the region south of Shanghai. Yu is the only daughter of Jingyuan Yu, who is a billionaire founder of the Mengtian Group. This group is Asia's largest manufacturer dealing with wooden doors. Her father "groomed her to be a businesswoman from a very early age giving her a vision to look upon and go ahead with it". A self-described "geeky tomboy" as a teenager, Yu had a fascination with calculus, collections and data. At the age of 15, she moved to England to attend the School, where she studied at Taunton school, Somerset. There, Yu became interested in fashion, and went on to study Fashion Management at the London College of Fashion later. She graduated in the year 2013 with a degree in fashion management and also completed executive programs at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge; the program name was Oxford Investing Program at the University of Oxford which was based on impact investing and the Emerging Leader Development Program at Columbia University in New York City. While she was in school, Yu was presented to society at the International Debutante Ball in New York and the Queen Charlotte's Ball in London. Now with the whole education combined she's one of the key people of your Holding.
